TERMS AND CONDITIONS


1. General Explanation

Backroad Drive is organizing a tourist tour for hypercars, supercars, sports cars and classic cars. The following rules must be strictly observed. By completing the registration and payment, each participant confirms their full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

 

2. Registration

  • 2.1 Registration for an event of Backroad Drive is only valid after full payment of the registration fee. 
  • 2.2 Lack of full payment results in exclusion from participation in the event.

 

3. Participant conditions

Each participant in an event of Backroad Drive must comply with the following conditions:

  • 3.1 The driver must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
  • 3.2 The participating vehicle must have valid insurance according to the Law on Compulsory Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance (WAM). A valid insurance certificate must be provided upon request. 
  • 3.3 The participating vehicle must be in good condition and suitable for use on public roads. A valid inspection certificate must be able to be shown upon request. 
  • 3.4 The participating vehicle must have a valid registration certificate DIV.

 

4. Documentation and Participation

  • 4.1 The organization Backroad Drive has the right to request at any time the documents mentioned in point 2, as well as other relevant documents. 
  • 4.2 Backroad Drive reserves the right to refuse the participation of a vehicle without giving any reason.

 

5. Respect for Guidelines.

Each participant must at all times follow the instructions of Backroad Drive, as well as those of other authorized persons.

 

6. Traffic Rules and Conduct.

Each participant must at all times comply with the traffic rules and road code in force, as laid down in the Royal Decree of December 1, 1975. The participant must behave as a responsible, careful and anticipatory driver.

 

7. Liability

Backroad Drive is in no way liable for compensation in case of theft and/or accident. The participant understands that participation in an event of Backroad Drive is at his/her own risk. Backroad Drive is not liable for damage to the participant's vehicle or damage caused to third parties during the event. Backroad Drive cannot be held liable in any way and is fully indemnified.

 

8. Cancellations and Refunds
In case of cancellation by the participant, the registration fee is non-refundable.
If Backroad Drive cancels the event, participants will be informed as soon as possible and offered either a refund or the option to transfer their registration to a new date.

 

9. Force Majeure and Event Changes
Backroad Drive reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, safety concerns, or government restrictions.
In such cases, Backroad Drive will not be liable for any resulting costs or damages incurred by participants.

 

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Belgian law.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the judicial district of Mechelen, Antwerpen, Belgium.

 

11. Privacy
Personal data collected during registration will only be used for administrative purposes related to the event and will not be shared with third parties, except where required by law.
